Unique upcoming events will offer special views

On Saturday, July 27, 2024, a convoy of approximately 200+ motorcycles and other vehicles will leave at 11 AM from the Oakfield Fire Station and make their way to the Brandon Fire Station for a lunch stop. There will be a short opening ceremony at the Oakfield Fire Station, starting at 10:30 AM.

The convoy then moves on to Cambria and Fall River Fire Stations in Columbia County and ending at the Juneau Fire Station in Dodge County at 4:45 PM.

The event is a tribute to honor and remember those that have made the ultimate sacrifice serving our communities and country. Veterans’ groups, firefighters and EMS personnel will be a part of a memorial service at the final stop in Juneau. The public is invited to attend any of the stops and Memorial Service.

And the Wisconsin National Guard will be participating in an air demonstration at EAA AirVenture this week, and In preparation for the event, numerous Blackhawk helicopters will be landing near the Armory next to McCune Park in Waupun.

Wednesday, 1 Blackhawk is scheduled to land and shut down at approximately 1:00 PM.

On Thursday, Nine Blackhawks are expected to land and take off beginning at approximately 10:30 AM. They will return later in the day to complete their drills.

On Friday, nine Blackhawks are again expected to land and take off at approximately 12:30 PM and head to the EAA grounds in Oshkosh for their air demonstration. They will again return to Waupun later in the day to land and take off.

The National Guard will have security staff on site at McCune Park, but The public is welcome to watch from a safe distance.
