UW System Policy Addresses Employee Sexual Misconduct

UW System officials are set to present a draft of a policy addressing employee sexual misconduct to the Board of Regents. Earlier this year, the board also mandated that employee personnel files include all documentation of sexual misconduct allegations and investigations – and that campuses share the files if an employee is looking to work at another institution in the system. The policy draft requires disclosure of any substantiated misconduct to the hiring institutions both in and outside of the system, and requires campuses to ask about misconduct before hiring any finalists.
