Victim Identified, Suspect Arrested in Fatal Oshkosh Beating

Oshkosh Police have made an arrest in connection to the
beating death of an Oshkosh
man. A 34-year old Kaukauna man was taken into custody on a charge of
Aggravated Battery. The suspect’s name has not been released – nor were details
about his involvement. Police say 47-year old Steven Mallas was beaten around
2:00am the morning of Sunday, October 7^th along Boyd Street. He died in his home as a
result of complications from that incident five days later, according to the
Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
