Victim in Fatal Green Lake County House Fire Identified

The Green Lake County Sheriff’s
Office has identified the man killed in a house fire early Sunday morning near
Markesan. Authorities say 29-year-old Justin G. Lewis of Markesan died in the
fire. The Green Lake County Communications Center first received a call about
the fire at 1:15 Sunday morning. The home was fully engulfed by fire when sheriff’s
deputies arrived on scene. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under
control and shortly after found the victim’s body. The cause of the fire is
still under investigation, but foul play is not suspected in Lewis’ death.
