Vikings Fall In Round 2

Kewaunee knocked off Winnebago Lutheran 32-13 on Saturday
afternoon in a WIAA Division 5, 2^nd round matchup at Viking
Field.  Kewaunee led 7-0 at the end of
the first quarter and slowly pulled away from WLA as the afternoon wore on,
adding a pair of 2^nd quarter TDs including a late score with :16
second left in the first half after WLA threw an interception in the end
zone.   The lead stretched to 26-0 before
Brandon Schilling hit Micah Callies on a 9 yard TD.  Tim Anderson added a 1 yard TD run late for
WLA’s final score of the season.  Anderson was held in
check most of the day, collecting just 33 yards on 10 carries. Schilling had
113 yards on 22 carries.  WLA’s season
ends at 6-5.  Kewaunee improves to 10-1
and will travel to Cedar Grove-Belgium next weekend in the D5 Quarterfinals.
