Vos plays hard ball on contract release

It’s been an on-going battle, and it would appear that Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is looking to keep it going. Vos has refused to release an 850-thousand dollar contract with that is in place with Chicago-based law firm Barlit Beck. That firm was hired to assist in legal wranglings dealing with the challenges to legislative boundries. Citing attorney-client privileges, Vost spokeswoman Kit Beyer has said they will refuse to release the contract. Beyer also refused to answer any questions about the move to deny releasing the contract. Republicans have been in a long-running federal lawsuit regarding the Repulican-drawn legislative districts.
