Wanted man taken into custody in Fond du Lac after short pursuit

A man was taken into custody early Saturday morning, January 17, 2026, after a short pursuit in the City of Fond du Lac.

Officers observed a vehicle of a person known to have a warrant for their arrest in a parking lot near 88 Forest Avenue. Just before 4:30 a.m., a City of Fond du Lac officer along with two Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies observed the man get into the vehicle and leave westbound on Forest Avenue.

After attempting to pull the vehicle over, the driver accelerated in an attempt to elude the officers west on Forest Avenue from the downtown area.

The driver turned south on Military Road and then west on Second Street and south on Brooke Street where they pulled over at 182 south Brooke Street.

While the driver was initially refusing to comply with commands, they were taken into custody a short time later.
