Wanted Oshkosh man arrested in Fond du Lac County on numerous charges after police chase

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at approximately 11:05 a.m., a Deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was parked on Lakeshore Drive near Shady Drive in the Town of Friendship. The Deputy observed a southbound vehicle traveling 91 miles per hour in a posted 50 mile-per-hour speed zone. The Deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled from the Deputy by failing to obey the Deputy’s emergency lights and siren.

The suspect vehicle turned into a driveway in an attempt to evade the Deputy. A few moments later, the Deputy again observed the suspect vehicle traveling southbound on Lakeshore Drive near Shady Lane. The Deputy once again attempted to make a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The suspect increased his speed and again failed to obey the Deputy’s emergency lights and siren.

The suspect vehicle eventually came to a stop near Lakeshore Drive and Franklin Avenue. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, and the driver and passenger were taken into custody without further incident.

The driver, a 37-year-old male from Oshkosh, was arrested and booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of operating while intoxicated, fleeing and eluding an officer, lewd and lascivious behavior, second-degree reckless endangering safety, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping, and numerous other citations.

The male also had two active warrants out of Winnebago County. One was a felony warrant for failure to appear on charges of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and resisting or obstructing an officer. The second was a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior, criminal damage to property, and resisting or obstructing an officer.

The passenger, a 48-year-old female from Menasha, was taken into custody and subsequently released at the scene.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the City of Fond du Lac Police Department.
