Warrior House Open House Saturday In Lomira

Salute the Troops this Saturday will hold an open house for their new transitional housing facility for military veterans in Lomira. Richard Feustel of the group says a week before he died former Salute the Troops President Ed Barnes was approached about a house in Lomira that was available for the group. He says the goal was to bring in veterans who were homeless or struggling and needed help. He says through the generosity of surrounding communities they were able to furnish what is being called Warrior House. He says veterans staying in Warrior House will be given the help they need including job mentoring from companies like Quad Graphics, Michels Corporation and Grande Cheese. The open house Saturday is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Warrior House located at W462 Highway 67 in Lomira near the Camelot Golf Course.
