Waupun Fire Department responds to vehicle fire

The Waupun Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire Thursday, June 12, 2025, on State Highway 151 just north of Highway 26 in Fond du Lac County.

At around 2PM, a call came into the FDL Communications Center advising of the fire on the southbound side of the highway. Upon arrival, fire department members were faced with a Chevy Equinox that had the engine compartment fully involved with fire.

The driver told officials they noticed smoke starting to fill the passenger compartment, so they pulled over and noticed the fire. All occupants were able to get away from the vehicle with no injuries.

One lane of southbound 151 was closed for the duration of the fire department being on scene.
