Waupun Police Investigating Possible Animal Cruelty Incidents

The Waupun Police Department is investigating an alleged
animal cruelty complaint.

According to a press release, the incidents reportedly
happened at a home in the 200 block of Monroe Street in the City of Waupun
around two months ago. Police say the incidents were not reported to law
enforcement until late Thursday night while officers were responding to a theft
complaint at the same address. A welfare check was conducted on the dog last
night, and police say it appeared the animal was healthy and was not injured.

The reported incidents of animal cruelty are still under
investigation. Police say if elements of a crime can be proven, then charges
will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
