Waupun’s Truck-n-Show days are numbered… Event looks to be retired after this year

After 35 years, the Waupun Truck n Show will be coming to an end. This is due to a lack of volunteers stepping up to plan the yearly event that has been coined “A salute to the trucking industry.”

in 2022, two long-time volunteers left and one of the show founders, Ron Vande Zande passed away.

It’s been known for a few years that a lack of new volunteers coming into the mix was going to be a problem with current volunteers wanting to retire, and the time has come for this to happen.

Event organizers say after the 2024 event, the show will be retired.

The Waupun Truck-N-Show occurs each summer and consists of a truck show, and two parades. One at night when the City of Waupun turns off the street lights on Main Street and the trucks ride with their accessory lights on, and another parade during the daytime.

The event also brings in live music from some of the areas top bands as well as vendors, specializing in the trucking industry.

Organizers say they are going to make the last years event the best ever.
