WCI Inmate Charged With Battery By Prisoner

An inmate at Waupun Correctional is facing two felony charges for an assault on a guard this past April. According to the criminal complaint 37-year-old Kevin Russel head butted a correctional officer in the groin while he was being detained in the prison’s segregation unit.  He also allegedly pushed several officers down a flight of stairs, injuring one. He will make his initial appearance in Dodge County Court on the battery charges on October 5th.
