What does November usually look like weatherwise for Fond du Lac?

We can get some pretty big storms in November which can bring a wide variety of temperatures. This is why we see such a spread from the warmest to the coldest temperatures in the states records. The warmest we ever were in November in Fond du Lac was 81 degrees on November 1st of 1933. Coincidentally, this is the latest we have ever seen an 80 degree day in November and it looks like that record will stick this year as well. The coldest we have ever seen in November was -10 degrees on November 25th of 1950.

We start out the month with a normal high of 50 and low of 34 but that drops quite a bit as the month goes on to only 37 and 23 respectively by the end of the month

November is generally not a wet month with just under 2 inches of precipitation falling on average with some of that usually falling as snow. We average 2.2 inches of the white stuff during the month, but saw as much as 19 inches falling during the whole month in 1940. Worse yet we once saw 11 inches fall in one day on November 30th of 1928.

While these are averages, the actual outlook for the month has the area continuing to be above normal temperature wise.
