WIAA Division 2 State Individual Wrestling Tournament: – Individual Results for Area Teams:
Campbellsport:
Drake Mullenbach finished fifth at 113 pounds, winning over Graeson Pankratz of Oconto Falls in the fifth place match by a 7-1 decision.
Ostin Blanchard placed sixth at 120 pounds, losing to Eyan Dessellier of Kiel by a 5-0 decision in the fifth place match.
Chilton/Hilbert:
Hunter Heller took fourth place at 106 pounds, losing in the third place match to Colton Hush of Baldwin-Woodville by a fall in 3:00.
Reed Breckheimer did not place at state, losing in the quarterfinal to Sam Galoff of Brillion and dropping his first consolation match to Carter Melton of Spooner/Webster
Kewaskum:
Braeden Scoles is the State Champion at 160 pounds, defeating Owen Heiser of Evansville by a tech fall in the championship match.
Kiel:
Eyan Dessellier was the Raiders’ only wrestler out of five that advanced to state to place at the tournament. Dessellier took fifth place at 120 pounds, beating Ostin Blanchard of Campbellsport by a 5-0 decision.
Laconia:
Langdon Everson did not place at State for Laconia at 138 pounds, losing his first quarterfinal match to Ethan Schwartz of Denmark and dropping his first consolation match to Tanner Halopka of Abbotsford/Colby.
Lomira:
Abe Helsell took fourth place at state at 195 pounds, losing to Carter Melton of Spooner/Webster by a fall in 2:26 in the third place match.
Lomira’s Adam Sauer did not place at state at 152 pounds, losing his quarterfinal match to Bowen Rothbauer of Bloomer/Colfax, and dropping his first consolation match to Matt Rogge from Prairie du Chien
New Holstein:
Mike Volz took fifth place at state at 182 pounds, winning the fifth place match over Evan Miller from Winneconne by a 7-2 decision.
Omro:
Kyle Dietzen took fourth place at state at 285 pounds, falling in the third place match to Mac Strand of Xavier by a 3-1 decision.
Ripon:
Aaron Socha did not place at state at 220 pounds, losing his quarterfinal match to Koy Hopke of Amery, and dropping his first consolation match to Matt King from Darlington/Black Hawk.
