WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament (Day 2):

Division One (Semifinals):

285 Pounds: Fond du Lac’s Donte Johnson is defeated by Blaze Beltran of Pewaukee in a 3-1 sudden victory. Johnson will wrestle Hartford’s Quinn Meinerz in the consolation round this morning.

Division Two:

106 Pounds: Lomira’s Tyler Garriety defeats Quintin Gehrmann of Jefferson by a 6-5 decision in the quarterfinals, then loses to Cody Holmes of Two Rivers in the semifinals by a 2-0 decision. Garriety will wrestle Tommy Larson of East Troy in the consolation round to begin Saturday.

120 Pounds: Cade Heisdorf of Campbellsport loses to Mike Smith of Amery in the quarterfinals by a 14-1 major decision. Heisdorf then falls to Caleb Radtke of River Valley in the consolation round by an 8-1 decision.

152 Pounds: Chase Parr of Lomira defeats Jake McClintock of Lakeland by a 10-1 major decision in the semifinals. Parr then falls to Chase Schmidt of Rice Lake by a 5-0 decision in the semifinals. Parr will wrestle Sam Burzynski of Stanley-Boyd/Owen-Withee in the consolation round to begin Saturday.

170 Pounds: Carter Veleke of Waupun pins Jared Lenze of Mauston in 1:56 in the quarterfinals, then is defeated by Dalton Smercheck of Luxemburg-Casco in the semifinals by a pin in 3:34. Veleke will wrestle Brice Delzer of Oconto Falls in the consolation round to begin Saturday.

182 Pounds: Matt Koelbel of Campbellsport loses to Lucas Fugate of Belmont/Platteville by a pin in 4:58 in the quarterfinals. Koelbel moves to the consolation round where he defeats Jimmy DuVal of Whitewater by a 5-0 decision. Koelbel will wrestle Ebenezer Ikhumhen of Wisconsin Lutheran to begin Saturday.

195 Pounds: Collin Feucht of Lomira defeats Derrick Rotta of Waupaca in the quarterfinals by a pin in 3:00. Feucht then is defeated by Lucius Reinhardt of Evansville-Albany by a 2-1 tiebreaker. Feucht will wrestle Hayden Arneson of Monroe in the consolation round to begin Saturday

220 Pounds: Allan Klink of Lomira loses to Dakotah Daffinson of Melrose-Mindoro by a 5-2 decision in the quarterfinals. Klink then falls to Tyler Burt of Beloit Turner by a pin in 4:55.

285 Pounds: Lomira’s Adam Kinyon pins Branden Lange of Evansville/Albany in 6:16 in the quarterfinals, then loses to Phil Rasmussen in a 3-2 decision in the semifinals. Kinyon will wrestle Josh Frerk of Denmark in the consolation round to begin Saturday.

Division 3:

126 Pounds: Zachary Foth of Laconia is defeated by Dylan Bune of Spring Valley/Elmwood in the quarterfinals by an 8-0 major decision. Foth then moves to the consolation bracket, where he defeats Aiden Wusterbarth of Oconto by a 1-0 decision. Foth will wrestle Andrew Gunderson of Cadott to begin Saturday.

160 Pounds: Zach Coffeen of Laconia loses to David Marquardt of Stratford by a 12-2 major decision in the quarterfinals. Coffeen then lost to Isaac Roffers of Reedsville in the consolation round.

182 Pounds: Caleb Hopp of Laconia defeats Drew Hennessey of Iowa-Grant/Highland by a pin in 3:37 in the quarterfinals, then loses to Alexx Peplinski of Wittenberg-Birnamwood by a pin in 1:34 in the semifinals. Hopp will wrestle Will Raatz of Edgar in the consolation round to begin Saturday.
