For over fifty years, the Miss Rural Winnebago (MRW) program has worked towards empowering young women by instilling confidence, teaching agricultural skills and knowledge, and nurturing their passion for rural living. The reigning Miss has the freedom to shape her year as per her interests while also gaining professional and personal skills that can be applied in the future for her benefit.

The Waukau Youth Group organizes the MRW program every year. The program hosts several family-friendly events at its location, 2711 State Road 116, Waukau, WI. On June 9, 2024, during the Waukau Youth Days Chicken Barbeque, the MRW program will crown the 56th Miss Rural Winnebago. The parade will be held at noon on State Road 116, followed by the crowning ceremony, a chicken BBQ meal, and live music/children’s entertainment at the Waukau Youth Center. All are welcome to attend this event!
