Winter Parking Rules Take Effect As Snow Heads To Area

Winter parking rules for the City of Fond du Lac and Village of North Fond du Lac starts tomorrow, right on cue with the areas first forecasted accumulation of snow.
Those needing to leave their vehicles on the street after 8 PM starting Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in both municipalities will have to park their vehicles on the side
of the road that corresponds with the date on the calendar and addresses on the street.
Parking on even days will require parking on the side of the road with even addresses and the opposite for odd days.
A reminder to those parking after midnight when the date has changed, the rule applies for the date before midnight that night.
The winter parking rules are in effect through March 15th.
The City of Waupun has winter parking rules that are not bound by any dates.
There, parking is restricted on any street between 2 AM and 6 AM for 48 hours after a snowfall of 2 inches or greater as measured at the waupun safety building, and the same hours 24 hours after a snowfall in city parking lots.
The National Weather Service is forecasting around 2 inches of snow for the Fond du Lac County area Tuesday into Tuesday night with possibly higher amounts in the eastern portion of the county.
