Winter storm continues Monday in area
A winter storm warning remains in effect for the Fond du Lac area Monday morning, December 29, 2025, as a rapidly strengthening low pressure makes it’s way through the state.
The storm started out with widespread rain Sunday which has now frozen on area roads after a cold front passed through allowing colder air to rush in overnight.
We’re not the only ones that had to deal with adverse conditions with the storm system. A line of thunderstorms rolled through Illinois yesterday spawning a few weak tornadoes and high wind reports.
As the snow ends this morning, high winds will continue, creating blowing and drifting snow throughout the rest of the day.
We will get a break from the snow into Tuesday morning but will see another light area of snowfall Tuesday afternoon before temperatures really plummet down to the single digits New Years eve and New years day.
