Wintry Mix, Rain and Snow in the Weekend Forecast

More wintry weather is on the way as the holiday weekend
continues. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory
until Noon today for the entire listening area as a mix of rain, snow and sleet
will move through the area this morning. The weather service says slippery
roads are likely this morning as the wintry mix continues.

The forecast calls for the precipitation to change to all
rain for the afternoon and into Saturday night, before it mixes with and changes
to snow again on Sunday. Forecasters say the Fond du Lac area should see only around
an inch of snow accumulation. The highest snow totals will be well to our north,
with Winter Storm Warnings posted for Green Bay and areas northward, where over
a foot of snow could fall.

People with travel plans today should pay attention to the
forecast and check road conditions before heading to their destination.
