Wisconsin ranked as the best state in the nation for public golf

With recent warm weather, golfers have been able to get out and take in a few rounds on area golf courses in Wisconsin. Not surprising after Golf Digest magazine ranked Wisconsin as the best state in the nation for public golf. The announcement came this weekend in the publication’s America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses list. The list mentions courses like Whistling Straits in Sheboygan at number 4 and Erin Hills in Hartford at number 10. In total, Wisconsin had ten courses ranked in the top 100 list
of public courses nationwide. Michigan and California tied for second place each with nine courses ranked in the list.
