Wisconsin State Patrol Awards Ceremony Honors 33

The annual Wisconsin State Patrol awards ceremony was held yesterday to recognize the exemplary public service of individuals who have gone above and beyond in their job duties.

This year’s event in Wisconsin Dells honored 33 state employees and one civilian responder for their lifesaving efforts and exceptional public service.

This year, two State Patrol troopers from the Fond du Lac post were recognized. Trooper Nicholas Erickson and Trooper Caleb Truax both received Lifesaving Effort Awards. A Lifesaving Effort Award is given to an individual who provides significant or prolonged lifesaving efforts to a victim or victims but whose actions do not yield lifesaving results.

Governor Evers spoke at the ceremony saying “The Wisconsin State Patrol plays a vital role in the safety and security of not only our transportation system but our state, We are glad to recognize their service and sacrifices with these awards.”
