Wisconsin State Patrol pulls over 28 people going over 100 mph in one day
The Wisconsin State Patrol has released their numbers for Speed Enforcement Day which was Wednesday, July 31st.
The agency said it performed 1,591 traffic stops, which resulted in 456 citations and 527 warnings for speed. Twenty-eight of the stops involved drivers going over 100 mph.
One area of note the agency said was in a work zone in Eau Claire County where they found the average speed there was almost 20 mph over the posted limit.
