Woman killed overnight in Beaver Dam house fire

At 1:48 a.m., on January 3, 2025, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residential fire at N8283 Kellom Road, Lot 43, in the town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin. This location is just north of the city limits of Beaver Dam.

Deputies were on scene within three minutes of the call and found the residence to be fully engulfed in flames. The Beaver Dam Fire Department responded along with other fire agencies to extinguish the fire. One resident, a 29-year-old male of Beaver Dam, was able to make it out of the residence safely. Another resident of the home, a 29-year-old female of Beaver Dam, was not able to escape and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office. The pets within the home were also found deceased.

Assisting at the scene were the Beaver Dam Police Department, Beaver Dam Fire Department, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Waupun Fire Department, Juneau Fire Department, Burnett Fire Department, Randolph Fire Department, Hustisford Fire Department, and the Watertown Paramedics.

The cause of this fire is under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall.
