Work to resume on I-41 in Fond du Lac and Winnebago Counties this month

The Wisconsin DOT has announced that work on Highway 41 in Fond du Lac and Winnebago Counties will resume later this month.
Work began on the project in October of last year and was put on hold through the winter, but is scheduled to start again March 10th, 2025. The 14.2 mile stretch of highway runs between Military Road in Fond du Lac County to Highway 26 in Winnebago County.
Work on the project includes asphalt milling and paving, structure maintenance on ten bridges, construction of one new box culvert, nine box culvert extensions, and culvert pipe work, plus other work.
I-41 is expected to remain open to traffic during construction but drivers can expect lane and shoulder closures. The $25.9 million project is expected to finish in October of this year.
