YMCA and BGC Launch Community Phase of Capital Campaign

The Fond du Lac Family YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac are proud to announce the public launch of their joint capital campaign: “Our Future Together, Reimagined.”

This visionary initiative will support a major expansion and renovation of the shared community center first established through a groundbreaking partnership in 2010.

Rooted in a shared mission to empower youth and build strong, healthy families, both organizations are responding to the growing and evolving needs of the Fond du Lac community.

Since opening the doors of the facility nearly 15 years ago, thousands of individuals have benefited from collaborative programming, safe spaces, and transformative support. Today, as the community grows, so must the spaces that serve it.

Addressing Today’s Needs, Building for Tomorrow, the “Our Future Together, Reimagined” campaign focuses on:
Creating a safer environment with relocated front desks and enhanced security, including additional cameras. Improving member experience with an indoor walking track and redesigned Wellness
Center offering expanded fitness options. Supporting youth nutrition and program growth with a dedicated Boys & Girls Club cafeteria.

“This is about more than bricks and mortar,” said JJ Raflik, CEO/Executive Director of the Fond du Lac Family YMCA. “It’s about building a safe, inclusive place where children thrive, families grow stronger, and the entire community has the support to live well.”

“We’re proud of the legacy our two organizations have built together,” added Dan Hebel, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac. “Now, we invite our community to join us in taking the next step toward a brighter, safer, and more connected future.”

The campaign has already raised more than $5 million, thanks to the generosity of early supporters who helped launch this effort and laid the foundation for its success.

Cornerstone Donors ($250,000 and above): We are deeply grateful to the National Exchange Bank Foundation, CD Smith, J.F. Ahern Co., Mercury Marine, Michels Family Foundation, The Grande Foundation, and the Sadoff Family Foundation for their exceptional vision and support.

Leadership Donors ($100,000–$249,999): We thank Mike Shannon Automotive Foundation, City of Fond du Lac, Baker Family Foundation, BCI Burke, Fond du Lac Area Foundation, FVSBank, Otto Bremer Trust, Society Insurance, and SSM Health for their commitment to strengthening our community and inspiring others to join.

Together, these early supporters have shown remarkable confidence in our vision and paved the way for the next phase of the campaign.

Now, we’re calling on individuals, families, and businesses to help us reach an important milestone: raising $500,000 to make this shared vision a reality and create a lasting impact in our community for years to come.

Your gift to the “Our Future Together, Reimagined” campaign helps ensure this community hub remains vibrant, safe, and welcoming for generations to come.
