$1.73 Billion Powerball Jackpot Won In California

The second largest lottery jackpot ever seen was won last night by a single person with a ticket bought in Frazier Park, California. The tiny city of around 2500 people is nestled in a mountainous region in southern California, a little over an hours drive north west of Los Angeles.

The 1.73 billion dollar Powerball jackpot was due to no one winning the game for 35 consecutive drawings. The largest jackpot ever was also won in California back in November of 2022. That jackpot was also the Powerball game and was worth 2.04 billion dollars.
