2023 Airventure Statistics Released

EAA has released their Airventure statistics for 2023.

A record total number of people passed through the gates this year. About 667,000 people attended the 7 day event. Up from last years record setting 650,000.

With record attendance comes record numbers in other areas as well.

Fly in and drive in camping set a record with over 13,000 sites filled. This resulted in about 40,000 of the total number of people attending.

More than 10,000 aircraft arrived at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh and other airports in east-central Wisconsin. At Wittman alone, there were 21,883 aircraft operations in the 11-day period from July 20-30, which is an average of 148 takeoffs/landings per hour when the airport was open.

3365 total show planes showed up, including A record 1,497 vintage aircraft, 1,067 homebuilt aircraft, 380 warbirds, 194 ultralights, 134 seaplanes, 52 aerobatic aircraft, and 41 rotorcraft registered for the event.

A record 848 commercial exhibitors were on hand to sell you everything plane related.

more than 2000 international visitors from 93 different countries registered in the international tent.

Airventure was estimated to bring in a total of 170 million dollars to the 5 counties in the Oshkosh region which includes Fond du Lac County.
