2027 county budget to be proposed at County Board meeting

The proposed 2027 Fond du Lac County budget will be presented to county supervisors Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

County Executive Sam Kaufman is scheduled to present the budget during Tuesday night’s County Board meeting, which begins at 6:00 p.m. at the City-County Government Center.

Supervisors will also consider a series of staffing and spending measures. Those include creating four full-time correctional officer positions at the county jail, adding a part-time environmental health technician, and accepting a $1.3 million federal award for a Sheriff’s Office mobile command post.

The agenda also includes the purchase of a replacement Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department rescue boat.

The County Board meets Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers at 160 South Macy Street in Fond du Lac.
