29-year-old Fond du Lac man wanted for several charges, captured after foot pursuit

On Sunday, February 9, 2025, the City of Fond du Lac Police Department apprehended a 29-year-old male Fond du Lac resident following a foot pursuit from a traffic stop.  The male was wanted in connection for several crimes and active warrants.

At approximately 11:35 a.m., officers were in the area of N. Peters Avenue and W. Scott Street when they observed an individual wanted in connection for several crimes and active warrants enter the front passenger seat of a vehicle.  Additional officers responded to the area including a Fond du Lac Police Department K-9 Unit and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Deputies. 

A Fond du Lac Police Department Officer observed the vehicle southbound on N. Peters Avenue from W. Scott Street and attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  The vehicle turned into the Lakeside Garden Apartment complex and the front passenger exited the vehicle and ran.  The passenger, a 29-year-old male, was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The male was treated at the scene for minor injuries sustained after the deployment of an Electronic Control Device (Taser 10).

He was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail on criminal charges of disorderly conduct, theft, battery, and burglary with battery to a person from a previous incident in early February 2025.  He also had felony warrants for burglary and false imprisonment, five additional misdemeanor warrants through Fond du Lac County, and one misdemeanor warrant through Winnebago County.  He now is facing a new charge of resisting arrest causing injury to a law enforcement officer.
