Grain Inside Silo Starts Fire Near Eden

A silo fire in Fond du Lac County drew members from eight area fire departments yesterday.

Around 7:30 PM, a resident at N4419 Church Road, east of Eden reported that grain inside the silo was on fire. Responding units arrived to find smoke coming from the top
of the silo.

Eden, Mt. Calvary, Campbellsport and Town of Fond du Lac fire departments were called to assist as well as water trucks from Oakfield, Lomira, Lamartine and St. Cloud fire departments. Crews were on scene for about two hours.
