Crash halts traffic on already congested I-41 after Packer game

Packer fans traveling home from the game on southbound I-41 last night had a longer than normal commute.

This was because near the front of the congested traffic, someone rear-ended another vehicle near the County Highway JJ exit just east of Kaukauna.

The striking vehicle left the scene, leaving the vehicle that was struck disabled and blocking both lanes of traffic.

Officers got on scene and closed the highway at the exit forcing drivers to leave the highway. This caused traffic to slow down considerably causing stop and go traffic for 40 minutes all the way back to near De Pere. The crash happened at 7 PM and the highway was reopened at 7:40.
