Woman dead after being shot in Beaver Dam

The Beaver Dam Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a woman in their city yesterday. At 9:21 AM police were called to a report of a woman screaming for
help in the 100 block of Rosendale Street.

Upon arrival, police found a woman with a gunshot wound but she was still breathing and had a pulse. Officers also noticed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the front door of the residence.

Officers performed lifesaving measures on scene before the victim was transported to the Marshfield Medical Center by Beaver Dam EMS where she later died. Officers secured the scene and obtained a search warrant for the residence and also canvassed the neighborhood looking for a suspect and gathering additional information regarding the incident.

Beaver Dam Police say at this time there is no danger to the community regarding this shooting.
