Boys and Girls Club warns of possible candy bar scam

Some area Boys and Girls Clubs are sending out a warning to be on the lookout for a scam some people are doing, pretending to be affiliated with the organization.

In a statement put out Wednesday, one local club stated, Throughout the nation, there have been reports of individuals falsely representing themselves as part of the Boys and Girls Clubs organization. Specifically, they have been selling candy bars under the guise of supporting this reputable cause. The flyer goes on to say, We wanted to make you aware of this possible scam as it is a theme we are seeing. Thank you for your vigilance and ongoing support.
