Todd James Cardinal

Todd James Cardinal, 57, was taken from this earth way too soon on November 19th after a medical emergency while trying to get himself to the hospital. He was born to Richard Cardinal and Joyce Blare on May 30, 1967 in Fond du Lac.

Growing up, Todd was involved in many sports and learned the value of money quickly while working his first paper route. As Todd got a little older, he started working with his dad at Cardinal Construction. Eventually in 1999, Todd bought the business and took it to new levels. He was an entrepreneur through and through. He bought Hunter’s Point Hunt Club in 2007 and built that business. In Fall of 2021, Todd sold Cardinal Construction to focus on the hunt club and start “winding down” …yeah, right.

Todd always had a love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter of deer, ducks and pheasants. That passion also brought many hunting dogs into his life. His current furry companions are Nellie (his princess) and Calli (the bulldozer). They will miss him greatly.

Todd was also a Green Bay season ticket holder and loved his Packers.

In 2012, Todd met Jenni and they became a team running Hunter’s Point and taking it to a level most people couldn’t imagine. Todd and Jenni enjoyed many trips to North Dakota and Lake Erie over the years. They loved to fish and UTV in Spring and Summer months.

Todd and Jenni finally tied the knot August 31st of this year after over 12 years together. They were ready to live life to the fullest and enjoy their place in St. Germain along with all the day to day work maintaining the hunt club.

Todd is survived by his wife Jenni, sister Deb (Neil) Olsen, brothers Mark (Carol) and Kurt, stepchildren Zach (Ashley) Frank, Drew, Emma and Leah Haak. He is further survived by nieces Britney Olsen, Caitlyn and Maddie Cardinal, nephews Kristopher Olsen, Christopher, Cody and Mitchell Cardinal.

SERVICES: Todd’s family invites relatives and friends to Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, November 25, 2024 for visitation from 9:00 to 11:45 AM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the family to be used for a memorial at a later date.

The family thanks 9-1-1 dispatch, Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department and the SSM/St. Agnes Emergency Department staff for their lifesaving efforts.
