After his apprehension, sheriff’s office K9 Iro was used to conduct an open air search around the vehicle and alerted that illegal drugs were inside. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of both drugs and firearms. In addition to methamphetamine, cocaine, LSD, THC, ketamine, and MDMA (ecstasy), a significant quantity of ammunition and five firearms, including two AK-47s, were located. Deputies continue to conduct follow up investigation into the links between the drugs and firearms, which may result in additional charges in the future.

Illegal drugs, firearms, and impaired driving recklessly endangered countless motorists during his attempt to elude law enforcement and could have resulted in significant tragedy. Thankfully deputies were able to apprehend this suspect and seize his contraband before he caused any additional harm.
