Single vehicle crash injures driver in Fond du Lac Wednesday

The driver of a vehicle involved in a crash in Fond du Lac Wednesday, April 9, 2025, was transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The single vehicle crash occurred around 4:30 PM. Originally the vehicle was reported driving in the wrong lane on I-41 between Military Road and Highway 23. The driver then lost control, exiting the highway and getting tangled in fencing along the highway on the Rolling Meadows side.

Fond du Lac Fire Rescue had to use extrication equipment to cut through the tangled fence that had become wrapped around the vehicle. A medical helicopter was requested to the scene due to the seriousness of the drivers injuries but due to impending weather, they couldn’t fly.

Rolling Meadows Drive was closed for a short period while crews worked the scene.
