Oshkosh Defense gets 3-year contract extension to build US Army truck

Oshkosh Defense announced it’s secured a 3-year contract extension to continue building a truck for the US Army.
The company has been building the FMTV A2 trucks since 2009. The contract to build for the army was coming to an end but this extension pushes building into early 2028, with an opportunity to continue production into 2030.
The A2 is a medium sized tactical vehicle that can be used to move troops and supplies, recover vehicles and weapon systems, and haul equipment wherever a mission requires.
The current version boasts 12 truck variants, 4 chassis, and 3 trailer options allowing it to adapt to almost any situation.
