Woman who beat cellmate to death gets life in prison

The woman convicted of killing her cellmate at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in July of 2023 has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

27-year-old Taylor Sanchez was found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide on June 30th after withdrawing her initial “Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity” plea and pleaded “no contest” to the charge.

Sanchez, who has multiple convictions of battery to prisoners on her record, beat to death 68-year-old Cindy Schulz-Juedes on July 19, of 2023.

According to the criminal complaint, Juedes suffered several skull fractures, and 34 rib fractures.
