Half pound of cocaine found on Fond du Lac County traffic stop

A Winnebago County man arrested earlier this month in Fond du Lac County on drug charges, has since been released from jail after posting a $15,000 bond.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy performed a stop on a vehicle on I-41 for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop, a police K9 was deployed to do an open air sniff and positively alerted for the presence of illegal drugs.

This allowed officers to search the vehicle resulting in finding and seizing about a half pound of cocaine.

The 45-year-old Menasha man is said to have an extensive criminal history of possession and distribution of illegal drugs.
