Local Wisconsin Right to Life group donates memorial bench

An organization in Fond du Lac is remembering a small group of people often overlooked and are hoping a bench dedicated to this group will help others to honor them.
The Fond du Lac Chapter of Wisconsin Right To Life has donated the memorial bench for preborn babies that died in the womb, which now sits in a section of Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac, dedicated to burial sites for these babies.
The group held a dedication ceremony last Thursday, August 14, 2025, unveiling the bench surrounded by chapter members and relatives that have lost preborn babies.

During the ceremony, prayers were recited and family members told their stories of losing preborns and explaining how much this bench means to them.
Vice President of the Fond du Lac Chapter, Cheryl Grady, explains to KFIZ why they donated the bench.
“Our hope for this bench is that people that have lost babies will have a place to mourn, reflect, remember and to pray.”
Grady says the chapter has a goal to donate a bench to every cemetery in Fond du Lac County.
The Fond du Lac Chapter of Wisconsin Right to Life meets at Charis Pregnancy and Family Help Center at 207 north Main Street on the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. and Grady says anyone is welcome to join the group or attend a meeting.
