Fatal crash reported near Chilton

One person is dead following a serious crash in Calumet County on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
According to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, just after 2:30 p.m., the crash was reported at the intersection of Irish Road and County Highway E, north of Chilton.

Investigation into the crash shows an 18-year-old Chilton woman was northbound on Irish Road and had stopped for a stop sign at County E. She then proceeded into the intersection , in the path of an 89-year-old Brillion woman.

The 89-year-old died at the scene. Failure to yield right of way from the 18-year-old is said to be the cause of the crash.
