18-year-old driver killed in crash that reportedly ripped car in half

On September 6, 2025, at approximately 6:28pm, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on County Road Q and Pit Rd. in the town of Shields, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Initial investigation shows a 2006 Acura sedan was northbound on County Road Q south of Pit Rd. The vehicle left the roadway and struck several trees before coming to rest approximately 50 yards off the roadway in a heavily wooded area. The 18-year-old driver from Watertown was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
Assisting at the scene were the City of Watertown Fire and EMS, the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, the Dodge County Chaplains, and Dodge County Emergency Response Team (DCERT).
According to the fire page for Watertown Fire and Ambulance, the mother of the man found the vehicle and reported it as happening the night before. She also stated the vehicle was ripped in half.
The name of the driver is being withheld as the crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
