Action Printing in Fond du Lac to close at end of October

Action Printing in Fond du Lac is closing its facility permanently on October 31, 2025, affecting 44 employees, due to the company’s decision to discontinue the product line manufactured there.
The facility, located at N6637 Rolling Meadows Drive, was acquired by Marketing.com in September 2024, and the closure is the result of a strategic decision by JAL Equity, the parent company.
Media giant Gannett purchased Action Printing in2002 along with the Fond du Lac Reporter newspaper. The acquisition included the local shopper paper, the Action Advertiser, which was part of the Action Publications group.
The Action Advertiser newspaper was discontinued on May 8, 2022, when the printing and production of the newspaper, along with Action Sunday and Sunday West, ceased at the Action Printing facility.
Action Printing, established in 1973, was a national printer of publications, manuals, directories and books, as well as other large-scale jobs. Its digital department also offered small-scale short run printing capabilities.
