“Dinner in the Dark” to Benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind

An annual event benefitting Leader Dogs for the Blind is growing and needs your help in doing so. For the past four years, local volunteers have put on an all-day fundraiser on a Saturday in spring featuring several local musicians. Now, organizer Joe Smet says they’re looking to add a Friday night dinner to the festivities. “Dinner in the Dark” takes place Friday, August 10, 2026 at Avenue 795 in Fond du Lac. Guests will enjoy a remarkable dinner under blindfold, raising funds to transform the lives of individuals who are blind. Tickets are now on sale for $60 and are transferable, so they make for great holiday gifts. To purchase tickets, you can call organizer Joe Smet at 920-313-0919.
