Fond du Lac School District Starts Prepping for Budget, Next Referendum

The Fond du Lac School District is currently working on its next budget, which will include putting another referendum before voters. Back in April, voters rejected a $40 million dollar operational referendum which led to the district making a number of changes, including reducing staff as well as adjusting some class schedules. Superintendent Matt Steinbarth says a lot is riding on the future, and the District may face the possibility of closing some schools. A public hearing on the budget is set for Monday, October 13th at 4 p.m. at the District Administration Center.
