Fall festivities going on at Lakeside Park Saturday, October 11th

A couple of fall activities are going on at lakeside park today.

From 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. will be the 9th annual Scarry Scurry kids run.

The 5k run starts at 8:30.

A Kids I mile Fun Run begins at 9:30 for 12-year-olds and under and a 1/2 mile fun run for 7 and under starts at 9:45.

There will be snacks and beverages immediately following the race, as well as awards for top runners.

Runners must be registered and pay an entry fee to participate. If you want to participate but haven’t registered yet, you can register from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. on Oven Island.

Also at Lakeside Park is the third annual Falltober Fest which runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oven Island. Events include Pumpkin Launching, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, Trunk or Treat, and a Giant Leaf Pit! Live Music and Food Trucks will also be on hand.

New this year will be a Wisconsin Great Pumpkin Weigh-off – a state-sanctioned giant pumpkin weigh-off to see who has the heaviest pumpkin.
