Fond du Lac’s Donte Johnson blazing a winning path in UFC world
Fond du Lac native Donte Johnson extended his undefeated professional Ultimate Fighting Championship record to 8-0 on Saturday, March 7, 2026, by defeating Cody Brundage during a match in Las Vegas.
Johnson won via split decision, making this the first time in Johnson’s professional career that a fight went the full three rounds, after previously being known for quick, first-round finishes.
The match was the first UFC bout to be broadcast live on CBS.
Johnson is a 2017 graduate of Fond du Lac High School, where he was a standout multi-sport athlete, earning Fox Valley Association Wrestler of the Year his senior year. He finished his senior wrestling season with a 39-3 record and became the winningest heavyweight in Fond du Lac school history with 136 career victories.
