41 northbound closed by Appleton due to semi crash and fire
11:30 a.m. update : The highway was opened back up and the scene was cleared.
A semi said to be hauling 20,000 pounds of dog food struck a temporary cement wall in a construction zone at Highway 15 in Outagamie County early Monday morning, March 30, 2026.
After striking the wall, the semi cab and part of the trailer became full engulfed in flames. Because of this, and with damage to the wall, the northbound lanes were closed at Highway 96, which is also known as Wisconsin Avenue.
The highway is likely to be closed for a couple hours so those travelling north through the area will be detoured.
The driver was reportedly able to make it out of the semi before the fire started.
