The Fond du Lac Area Foundation to receive grant from Compeer Financial
Compeer Financial, the member-owned, Farm Credit cooperative serving agriculture and rural communities across Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin announced their giving 1.4 million dollars to 14
foundations across the region through its Rural Collaboration Project.
In a press release issued this week, the organization announced the Fond du Lac Area Foundation would be one of five Wisconsin Foundations to receive part of that money.
To be eligible for a Rural Collaboration Project grant, communities must demonstrate leaders are working together on enhancements and improvements, and be a rural micropolitan area of 50,000 residents or less.
Compeer Financial also says projects receiving funds have to have a sustainable long-term plan and fit within the community’s long-term strategic vision for rural vitality, as well as align with Compeer Financial’s focus areas for enhancing the health and vibrancy of rural communities.
